Tom Dolan
Chief Executive Officer

Tom is RURO’s former Chief Operating Officer of 2013-2017, with a background of nearly 15 years of sales and operational leadership. Prior to his work at RURO, where he began as Director of Sales, Tom held a senior management role at Vue Med, a clinical software and radio frequency identification solutions company. Early in his career, he was an awarded team member with Bank of America, 1st Mariner Bank and other financial institutions.

Stephen Ferrell
Chief Compliance Officer

Stephen Ferrell CISA CRISC, was formerly Vice President of Product Strategy at ByteGrid. Ferrell also directed Governance, Risk and Compliance at ByteGrid, led Global IT Compliance at Thermo Fisher, and IT PMO & Compliance at Premier Research. He held further software quality roles at QIAGEN, Digene, and other east coast US-based life science organizations. Earlier in Stephen’s career, he performed consulting work with cGMP Validation, LLC and has provided his services to the FDA and other legislative bodies on Cloud and other software related compliance. Steve serves on ISPE GAMP Steering committee and represents the Scottish Life Sciences Association in the USA.

Kurt Harris
Vice President of Sales

Kurt brings with him 25 years of sales and business development leadership experience in biotechnology, including at Essen, Celsis IVT, Spotfire and others. Most recently, Kurt was Vice President of Business Development at Icagen. Prior to that he was in multiple leadership roles at Essen Bioscience. Early in his career, Kurt performed lab bench work at Abbott Laboratories.

 

Board of Strategic Directors

Vlad Lebedev

Mr. Lebedev is a founder of RURO and its former CEO. After his work at the National Institutes of Health and Invitrogen, he created RURO with a vision to propel laboratory software forward. It was Mr. Lebedev’s second design, FreezerPro, that earned RURO a firm place in the lab software market. In 2017, RURO sold FreezerPro to Brooks Life Science. Today, Mr. Lebedev continues to support RURO, including with engineering and system design level work. He is CEO of Quasi Robotics, a startup focused on the creation of software sophisticated enough to make consumer robotics a reality.

Maxim Didenko

Mr. Didenko is a founder of RURO and serves not only on its board but as an active member of its senior engineering core. Max has been a professional software engineer for more than 25 years including senior roles at Scaleform, National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) and Invitrogen before he cofounded RURO in 2006. His efforts in the early years of the company, single handedly performing technical projects for a variety of clients, ensured RURO’s solvency. Max was responsible for much of the technical foundation of RURO’s systems, including Limfinity.

Ena Wang MD

Ena Wang (MD) is the Senior Director, Immuno-oncology Discovery and System Biology at Abbvie Biotherapeutics. She was Research Chief, Division of Translational Medicine and acting Chief Research Officer at Sidra Medical and Research. Prior to joining Sidra, Dr. Wang was Acting Chief of Infectious Disease and Immunogenetics Section (IDIS), Department of Transfusion Medicine, Clinical Center at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). She was also the Associated Director of Trans NIH Center for Human Immunology, Omic Facility Head at the NIH and Director of Molecular Science in Department of Transfusion Medicine, NIH. Earlier in her career she was Cancer Research Fellow at NCI Surgery Branch, NIH.


 

Frederick Stodolak

Mr. Frederick Stodolak was the former co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Panacea Healthcare Solutions, Inc. Prior to Panacea Fred founded Innovative Health Solutions, LLC and served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Innovative Health Solutions. Prior to arriving at IHS, he founded Healthcare Design Systems (HDS) and served as its Chief Executive Officer. HDS became the foundation for Quadramed Corporations, IPO in 1995 where he also served as Corporate Officer and Division President. His healthcare career began in the position of Director of Budget and Reimbursement and acting CFO in both teaching and non-teaching hospitals. While a senior partner (Executive Director) at Kaden Arnone (now CBIZ KA) where he served for fifteen years he developed dozens of successful financial and clinical consulting and software products. Fred also served for twelve years on the board of the Ocean’s Harbor House, a non-profit organization in New Jersey assisting runaway and abused teens.

Jaleel Shujath MBA

Jaleel Shujath is the Director of Life Science Strategy at OpenText, the leader in Enterprise Information Management. As a cancer researcher at Bayer, Jaleel worked on the discovery team for Nexavar, an FDA-approved therapy for renal cell carcinoma. He also defined and marketed technology solutions to the life sciences sector while at Cellomics, GE Healthcare, PBL Assay Science, and ATCC. Jaleel is a Six Sigma Green Belt, and a member of the Drug Information Association, Parenteral Drug Association, International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers, and the Editorial Board of the American Pharmaceutical Review.

Curtis Gumbs

Mr. Curtis Gumbs is a Scientific Manager in the department of Genomic Medicine at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Previously he performed a similar role at Duke University Medical Center in the Center for Human Genome Variation. Mr. Gumbs was an active member of the scientific team accredited with the discovery of BRCA2 and the development of a genetic test presently used to allow genetic counselors to counsel patients on their risk. Mr. Gumbs was involved in the discovery of the MCKD2 gene and has a record of publications on cancer and infectious diseases including Hepatitis C and HIV. Much of the scientific work Mr. Gumbs was involved with has led to advances in translational medicine currently being applied to patient’s bedside care.


 

Cornelius Boerkoel MD, PhD.

Dr. Cornelius Boerkoel has served as Executive Director of Imagenetics Research Center for Genomic & Molecular Medicine at Sanford Health. Previously, Dr. Boerkoel was the Chief Medical Officer at Appistry Inc. He served as a Laboratory Director at the National Institutes of Health Undiagnosed Diseases Program and is a co-founder of the Rare Disease Foundation. Dr. Boerkoel is a Medical Geneticist in the Provincial Medical Genetics Program at the Children’s and Women’s Medical Centre of British Columbia, a Clinical Associate Professor at and the University of British Columbia, and a Clinical Investigator in the Women’s Health Research Institute and the BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute.

Everett Marshall MBA

Everett Marshall is the Director of People, Performance and Culture for the Center for Organizational Excellence, Inc. He served as a Surface Warfare Officer in the Navy. Mr. Marshall’s work in the private sector includes several years with a global business consulting /IT services company focused on the development of recruiting and training programs. He has worked as a consultant to several federal agencies in the areas of organizational change, facilitation, team building, leadership coaching, and stakeholder engagement/alignment. Recently, he was Director of Strategic Outreach for the US Naval Academy. Everett also served as president of the Chesapeake Bay Organizational Development Network and the President of the Board for the St. Philips Family Life Center, Inc.

Charles E. Schwartz PhD.

Charles is the Director of Molecular Studies at JC Self Research Institute Greenwood Genetic Center. Previously, he served on the American Board of Medical Genetics as Treasurer, Vice President and President. Dr. Schwartz was also, until recently, the Director of Research at Greenwood Genetic Center. Before joining the Greenwood Genetic Center, he was a Research Associate at the University of Utah and a Research Scientist at the La Jolla Cancer Research Foundation.
